Jorge works to create meaningful social and financial returns for investors, while keeping families in their home. Jorge founded AHP in 2008 as a remedy for the nation’s mortgage crisis. With more than 24 years of experience in the real estate industry, Jorge founded a successful mortgage company, Sunset Mortgage in 1992 and has also been a principal in development, brokerage, and property management firms. He holds a real estate broker's license and Series 65 securities license. He began acquiring distressed real estate in 1992 and amassed a portfolio of over 4,000 multifamily units nationwide. Jorge draws on his extensive experience to lead AHP’s mission to facilitate win-win-win solutions for homeowners, investors and lenders, and regularly contributes to The Huffington Post and other publications.
Verria manages day-to-day operations for AHP. Verria was a consultant for AHP from its inception in 2008, and later joined the firm full-time. Prior to Joining AHP, Verria was a principal at a property management firm. She also has extensive marketing and operations experience from previous positions at software and IT companies.
Director of Finance & Analytics
Jeremy is a serial entrepreneur who has spent over 20 years in all phases of residential real estate contracting and development. Having begun his career in real estate as a carpenter’s apprentice, within 6 years he successfully started his own contracting firm that grew to be a multimillion dollar a year enterprise. During the height of the foreclosure crisis he purchased, renovated, and returned to service over 40 vacant homes achieving profitable exits on each property. Immediately prior to joining AHP, he was a principal in Park Place Bozeman LLC, a $7,500,000 mixed use redevelopment project in Bozeman, Montana that began what has blossomed into the revitalization of downtown Bozeman. His expertise in residential real estate is augmented by his 6 years as founder and CEO of PhotoActif LLC, a medical device manufacturer which successfully patented, developed, and brought to market a cutting edge, FDA approved, aesthetic medical device and treatment. His broad experience as a principal in a variety of business environments provides a unique perspective that has been beneficial for AHP, first as an early investor and advisor, and as of September 2015 a member of the AHP executive team.
Before AHP, Alex was a loan processor and underwriter for a residential mortgage originator. He holds an MBA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Master of Intellectual Property from John Marshal Law School.
Calvin is responsible for maintaining the company’s finances and utilizes his extensive knowledge in computer software and Microsoft Excel. Calvin has over 7 years of accounting and finance experience and has previously worked on the management team for a bank.
Jake oversees AHP’s portfolios and strives to find the best solutions that promptly resolve assets. In finding resolutions, Jake communicates with borrowers and real estate agents nationwide on a daily basis. Before joining AHP in 2012, he worked in accounting as a Payroll Associate. Jake graduated summa cum laude from North Park University with a BS in Business and Economics with a concentration in finance.
